The Fountain Terrace and Picnic Ground

This was once a terrace with a fountain, but is now laid out with symmetrical flowerbeds, designed in the shape of a flower bouquet.  In this area flourish tall and graceful tree ferns.  Its features are seen more clearly when viewed from the adjacent slopes. A sunken garden is laid out adjacent to the bog garden with two fountains and flower beds. The area has two summer houses.  The picnic grounds are on the right hand side below the todamund with tall exotic and idigenous trees of Glochidion neligherrense, Podocarpus elongata, Eugenia montana, Elaeocarpus oblongus, Acacia melanoxylon, Cupressus glauca, cupressus goveniana, Syncarpia laurifolia, Leptospermum scoparium, Bucklandia populnea, Corynocarpus laevegata etc.
